How it works

Click any word to select it, then double-click to type right on the page. Font, size, bold, italic, color and alignment follow the original where possible, and you can restyle everything from the properties panel.

Click it to select, then drag to move or pull the handles to resize. To remove it, press the toolbar's Delete button (or the Del key) — changed your mind? Ctrl+Z undoes it, Ctrl+D duplicates the selection.

Use the Text tool (click, or drag a box for wrapped text) and the Add Image button for PNG, JPEG or WebP pictures up to 4 MB each. New objects can be dragged, resized, rotated and layered like everything else.

Yes — the editor detects fillable fields automatically and outlines them. Click a text box and type, tick checkboxes, or pick from dropdowns. Your entries become real page content: movable, undoable, and baked into the export. Password-locked exports work with filled forms too.

Open the Pages panel (▦ in the toolbar) for thumbnails of every page — drag them into any order, click one to jump to it. The ＋ button adds blank or imported pages, 🗑 removes the current one, and everything is undoable. Your export follows the thumbnail order exactly.

Open the Save ▾ menu and choose Compress. The editor re-exports your document with maximum-strength stream compression and tells you exactly how much smaller it got (e.g. “40% smaller”). If the file is already tight, it says so instead of padding the numbers.

The main Save button downloads your full edited PDF with real, selectable text. The ▾ menu next to it saves just the current page as its own PDF, renders it as a JPG or PNG image, locks it with a password, or compresses it to a smaller file with the savings shown honestly.

Upload it like any other file — you'll be asked for the password, which unlocks that one upload and is never stored or sent anywhere else. A wrong password simply asks again; once open, the file edits exactly like an unprotected one.

Arrows nudge the selection (hold Shift for bigger steps), Del removes, Ctrl+D duplicates, Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y undo and redo, PageUp / PageDown switch pages. Alt+click selects the element underneath — handy for bars hiding behind text.

Tap the Hand button first in the toolbar: that switches to pan mode so a finger drags and scrolls the page (even zoomed to 300%) instead of grabbing elements. Tap it again to edit. The zoom controls replace pinch-zoom, and the ☰ Properties button opens the editing panel as a slide-over sheet.

The Hand button (first in the toolbar) switches between two modes. Highlighted, you're in pan mode: a finger drags and scrolls the page without touching anything on it. Tap it again to go back to edit mode, where you can select, move and change objects.

Turn the Hand on, then drag anywhere on the document — up, down, left, right. That works at any zoom, including 300%. If dragging grabs an object instead of scrolling, the Hand is off: tap it once to enable pan mode.

Right in the main toolbar, next to Zoom — the trash-can icon. Select something first (the button lights up when a selection exists), then tap it. The Del key works the same way on a keyboard, and Ctrl+Z undoes a delete.

Select an object, then tap the ☰ Properties button in the top bar. The editing panel slides in from the side with every control — text style, colors, rotation, opacity, layering and duplicate. Tap ✕ to close it and get your full screen back.

Use the − / + buttons in the toolbar — pinch-zoom is intentionally off because it fought with dragging objects. Zoom pulls the whole page back into view.

Up to 100 pages in a single document. Add blank pages, insert pages from other PDFs, delete pages, or save any single page on its own — all inside the editor.

Each PDF upload can be up to 5 MB, and images you add inside the editor can be up to 4 MB each. There is no separate per-page limit — the whole file just needs to fit inside 5 MB.

Scans are photographs of pages, not real text — there are no text runs to select, so the editor tells you so instead of pretending. This version has no OCR; export or print the scan through a text-based PDF first, then edit that.

The usual reasons: it isn't really a PDF under the hood, or it uses a compressed structure the server can't parse. Password-protected PDFs are welcome — you'll simply be asked for the password, which unlocks that one upload and is never stored. Genuine one-upload PDFs from Word, Google Docs, invoicing tools and browsers all work.

Yes. Open the Save ▾ menu and choose Lock with password… — your download is then AES-256 encrypted and needs the password to open. Printing and copying stay allowed; changing the document does not. Write the password down: a lost password means a lost file.

When you upload a PDF, a temporary working copy is kept on our server only so the editor can do its job — rendering pages while you work and building your download when you hit export. About one hour after your last activity, an automatic cleanup permanently deletes your files. Nothing is ever made public, passed on to anyone else, or used to identify you.

Editing happens in stages: the file has to be there while you move between pages, add images, undo changes, and finally export. If we deleted it the second you stopped clicking, the editor would break mid-session. One hour comfortably covers a real editing session — and then it is gone for good.
